Lip Reduction & Reshaping

CHEILOPLASTY

Reduced or reshaped lips, with the scar hidden inside the mouth.

Front and profilePre-op and 1 week post-op
Shared with written patient consent. Individual results vary.

CONCERN ADDRESSED

Full or protruding lips, or a lip shape the patient wants to refine.

PROCEDURE

A strip of tissue is removed from the inner, wet side of the lip. Shape can be tailored, for example a defined cupid's bow.

ANAESTHESIA & DURATION

Local anaesthesia · typically about 1 hour

RECOVERY

Swelling peaks at 3–4 days and settles over 2–3 weeks. Dissolvable sutures; most patients return to normal activity within a week.

FINAL RESULT

Shape visible early and refined as swelling clears; the reduction is permanent.

Post-op photos were taken during early recovery, before swelling has settled. The final result develops over the months that follow.

A general guide. Your own plan, aftercare, and review dates are set at consultation.

  1. DAY 1–4Swelling peaks; cold compresses and a soft diet.
  2. WEEK 1Swelling easing; normal activity resumes.
  3. WEEK 2–3Sutures dissolved; most swelling resolved.
  4. MONTH 3Shape fully settled; outcome review.

Individual results vary. Photographs are presented as examples of treatment process and do not guarantee a specific outcome. Suitability depends on individual assessment.
